About Fars Nature
Fars Province is in an area which equals to 12.4 million hectares .
Natural resources extent of the province is 10950000 hectars including
1250000 hectars forests & rangeland covered with trees , 1200000
hectars deserst & 8500000 hectars rangelands .Sefid mountin
in northern part of Ardekan ( 3718 meters height of sea level ) are the
highest regions of the province. Average height of the province is 1491
meters of the sea level. Maximum temperature in hot months in southerv
part of province ( Lamerd ) is more than 50c & minimum temperature
in cild month of year in northern part 0f the province ( Abadeh & Eghlid
) is less than 20c .
Average rate of rainfall of province is between 230 to 300 mm.

About Fars Natural Resources Head Organization
In 2002 with affiliation of Jahad Ministery to Agriculture ministry, affairs related to watershed management transferred to forest and Rangeland and Watershed Management Organization.
